Traditional Owners on Uranium Mining
Delegates to the Australian Nuclear Free Alliance (ANFA) Meeting, which was held in Quorn, S.A. on 5-6 September share their stories with us this week as we hear from traditional owners Eileen Wingfield, Coleen Prideaux, Audrey McCormack, Jeanet, Marcina Coleman Richards, Geraldine Anderson, Enice Marsh, Nora Cooke and more about their struggles against uranium mining on country. Special thanks to our friends from the Radioactive Show at radio 3cr in Melbourne, and the tireless Natalie Wasley, for this audio.
Camping All the Way to Copenhagen episode 7
This week's episode comes from the La Trobe Valley, 2hrs east of Melbourne, where The 3rd Degree's James Hitchcock reports from the frontlines at a protest at the Hazelwood coal-fired power station. He talks to Dr Merren Rebenbach, Senator Scott Ludlam and Sean Murray about their experiences from 'Switch off Hazelwood, Switch off Renewables'
This Week's Guest: Carl Stewart hits the studio ahead of a gig his band is playing tonight at the Red Rattler in support of Climate Camp. We feature his track 'Initiation' and hear the story behind it, as well as how the band was formed.
Presented by Nick Hollins and Tessa Dowdell
