HOWARD GETS THE BOOT

James Hitchcock catches up with Peter Gray, infamous shoe-thrower, anti-war advocate and activist extraordinnaire.

BHP SHAFTED

Some irregular news for Third Degree listeners... BHP Billiton subsidiary Illawarra Coal has shelved a 30 year mining project south-east of Campelltown and instead put forward a proposal for a 62 000Ha conservation area. The surprise concession comes on the back of a scathing report by the NSW Planning Assessment Commission, and this morning Jessica Minshall catches up with Caroline Graham, vice-president of Rivers SOS, to reflect on the win.

CLIMATE MEDIA WATCH

In Episode II the Third Degree's Simon Unwin takes us through the pulp fiction of the Daily Terragraph, one lord mayor and streets of dodgy cycling stats.
